The project
Built to train, advise and grow
Inspire Safety is a Cumbria-based health and safety training and consultancy business working with organisations in some of the country's most tightly regulated industries, from nuclear and manufacturing to engineering and energy. Its website had three jobs to do at once: sell accredited training courses, present a professional consultancy offer, and win search traffic across Cumbria and the wider UK. We designed and built it on WordPress, with a dedicated course platform running the training catalogue and SEO foundations in place from day one.

What was the challenge?
One business, three audiencesInspire Safety has multiple audiences and the website needed to cater to all of them - that was the heart of the brief. Someone booking a one-day Fire Warden course wants to find it, understand it and enrol without friction, while a safety manager at a regulated site is weighing up a long-term consultancy partner and needs to see credibility, accreditation and depth before they pick up the phone. In the background, a good share of both groups start with a search.
A template site could handle any one of those journeys on its own. The difficulty was building something that served all three without feeling generic to any of them, while giving the team a platform they could run and grow themselves after handover.
How did we approach it?
WordPress, a real course platform, SEO from the startWe chose a stack that gave Inspire Safety room to expand rather than a fixed template they would outgrow within a year. WordPress with Elementor gave us the design freedom to build a site that reflects the brand as its guidelines describe it: clear, human and professional. A dedicated course platform turned the catalogue into a proper training system rather than a static list of PDFs, and the SEO groundwork was part of the build rather than an afterthought.
The priority throughout was a site the team could own. Adding a new course, publishing a blog post or updating consultancy content can all be handled internally without a developer.
What did we build?
A site that teaches, sells and earns its search trafficThe finished site brings the training and consultancy sides together while keeping each journey clear. Course seekers get a filterable catalogue they can browse by category and level, with individual course pages carrying the detail and accreditation people need before they book. The consultancy side is given equal weight, positioning Inspire Safety as a long-term partner for competent person services, ISO-aligned systems and workforce development, and the blog is structured around the searches that matter across Cumbria and the UK.
The site is live and doing the job it was built for: presenting both sides of the business clearly, letting people find and enrol on courses, and giving the team a platform they run and expand without going back to a developer for every change.
From the studio
A build that had to do several jobs at once
A first aid course booking and a nuclear-sector consultancy enquiry are very different journeys, and the site had to handle both with the same clarity. Getting the course platform and the consultancy story to sit together, without either feeling like an afterthought, is where the work went.
