My First Aid Course: training bookings made easy for a Brisbane provider

The project

A training website built around the booking

My First Aid Course, a Brisbane-based first aid training provider, needed a modern WordPress website to showcase its courses and streamline bookings. We designed and developed a clean, user-friendly site where visitors browse courses, choose a location and book training online, with custom Gutenberg blocks giving the team full control of the content.

What was the challenge?

Many courses, many locations, one clear path

A training provider's website earns its keep at one moment: when a visitor who needs a certificate finds the right course, at the right place, and books it. With multiple courses running across multiple locations, that path has to stay simple however much sits behind it.

The team also needed to run the site themselves: adding courses, updating dates and editing pages without waiting on a developer on the other side of the world.

How did we approach it?

Clean WordPress, custom blocks

We designed the site around course discovery: browse the courses, pick a location, book online, with no dead ends between a visitor's need and a confirmed place. The design stays clean and reassuring, as a first aid brand should.

Under the surface we built custom Gutenberg blocks, so the team manages courses, pages and key information inside WordPress's own editor: structured enough that pages stay on-brand, flexible enough that no change needs a developer.

What did we build?

Self-managed, and booking-ready

The finished site is fast, clear and easy to use, taking visitors from a course search to a confirmed booking in a few steps, on any device.

The team runs it day to day themselves, and the custom blocks mean growing the course list or updating content is routine work in the editor rather than a development task.

From the studio

A build that keeps the design honest

The build is what keeps this site working long after handover. We made custom Gutenberg blocks for courses, pages and key information, so everything the team adds comes out looking designed rather than assembled, and the browse-a-course, pick-a-location, book path stays just as short however much the catalogue grows.
